HANBURY BOTANICAL GARDEN
Leaving Ventimiglia towards the French
border, you meet this botanical garden, extending on 18 hectares swept across
the promontory of Mortola, created by Sir Thomas Hanbury and his brother Daniel.
Timetable: Spring / Autumn: from the last Sunday of March until 14/06 and from
the last Sunday of September until 31/10 open all days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Winter: from 01/11 till the last Sunday of March open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. -
closed on Wednesday.
Summer: from 15/06 till the last Sunday of September open all days from 9 a.m.
to 7 p.m.

THE CAVES OF BALZI ROSSI
Next to the French border, archeological
site where Homo Erectus sought refuge some two hundred thousands years ago. The
Museum is open all days apart from Monday from 8.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. (phone
+39/0184/38113).
Very beautiful in the same area, a few meters far from the museum, the small,
lovely beach called "of eggs", because of its roundish and smooth stones.
DOLCEACQUA
Visit the oldest part of the village, standing on the left bank of the river;
the Doria Castle and the elegant and harmoniously designed late medieval bridge.
